Sow into the Ruach.Live Mission

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35)

Our Mission & Vision

It’s all about Jesus

Our mission is to create Holy Spirit-inspired, local, community, online listening experiences and media-inspired (created and/or partnered) events to spread the Gospel of Jesus to the 70% of the population who will not hear about Jesus from a church.

The mission fuels the overall vision of being an amazing, Christ-centered, asset for the SWIET Spot (South West Inland Empire Towns). We firmly believe that the light of Jesus shines through those who accept Him as Lord and Savior. As a group, we strive to shine that light as much as possible on our community. Further, we aim to testify to that light shining through others by highlighting the good in our community and striving for unity as Jesus desired. There is Good News and His name is Jesus!

“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.” (John 17:20-23)

Higher Purpose

The Shepherd speaks to His sheep through different instruments. He may raise His hand and the sheep know to stop. He may utter a word and His sheep know it is time to eat. He may journey into the forest to find one lost ewe and the rest know to wait patiently.

And so it is with Ruach.Live’s vision and mission. Everyday we make an effort to be obedient to the Word of God, no matter the channel of delivery.

Our story is one about the grace and love from our Father in Heaven. The Lord spoke to several of us about His desire for us (Doc & Beth) to continue our online radio ministry in this local community. Three weeks prior to launch, this ministry was not even a plan. When He spoke, His sheep knew what to do. In less than a week, more than half the resources needed were given. In two weeks, the start-up was fully funded and volunteers were starting to follow the Lord’s leading to this ministry.

Now, we step out in faith that the faithful will fully support this community effort. This is not just a streaming radio station that plays music! This is totally a local effort to lift up our community in the light of Jesus’ gaze. It’s about what He told us to do and creating channels in which He can speak to His sheep.

Praise You Lord.

The Challenge We Must Face Together

No matter one’s political party, identity claim, or ethnicity we are hard-pressed to find many people in the United States who say things are going very well in our country. The depravity is evident in the callous murdering of people in our cities and the wanton killing of babies in the womb. Racial unrest, adultery, financial treachery, and all manner of sin are increasing. The Apostle Paul writes about these issues in his letter to Timothy, “For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. (2 Timothy 3:2-5). Paul was writing about end-times but Jesus called us to make sure that all know of the Gospel and commanded us to go into the world making disciples and teaching (Matt 28:16-20). A Nation founded on the principles of faith in Jesus is drifting into a culture conundrum and becoming more and more faithless. Various constructs of the church are fighting the culture battle but, unfortunately, losing ground. What if there were a solution that had a chance to turn this declining love for Jesus around?

The United States is in a faith crisis. The red flags have turned into shots across the bow while the Christian community continues to celebrate closed-circuit victories like the size of a megachurch, an impactful message given to a congregation, or outreach in a global setting to minister to a few select people. The church eye is on the battle and not the war. Over the last decade the number of people in the Nation who self-identify as followers of Christ has declined from 77% to 65% (Pew Research, 2019). “Between 2014 and 2060, the U.S. population is projected to increase from 319 million to 417 million, reaching 400 million in 2051” (United States Census Bureau, , 2015). If the trend away from Jesus remains consistent, the number of people who don’t know Jesus as Savior in the U.S. will reach 280 million by 2051. That’s just 39 million less than our current total population. More revealing is the tracking on church attendance. A 2019 study found that 65% of the total population attends church none, once, or twice per year (Pew Research, 2021). Another study indicates that 3% to 6% of regular church attendees will no longer attend church post-pandemic (Lifeway Research, 2021). Indeed, a March 2021 study by Gallup revealed that only 47% of all Americans claim to belong to a church, the first time since the surveys began in 1937 that the U.S. has dropped below 50% (Jones, 2021). The direct correlation between the rise in immorality and debauchery and the decline in church attendance and the love for Jesus cannot be ignored. Yet, it is not the fault of the church.

The church in America, by default if not design, is a destination. It is a place to go to worship. In most instances, people who attend church are getting the word of God along with the fellowship and accountability of God’s people. Still, the church is shrinking. And it’s getting worse. Using available research, outreach magazine predicts church attendance will be 20 to 30% less after complete post-pandemic stabilization and that 9 out of 10 church congregations will believe the church needs revitalizing (Rainer, 2021). Despite the best thinking, nothing has stopped or slowed the trend of disengagement with the institution called church.

Jesus heals…one to one and one at a time. He gave us the same power. The modern church is designed for fellowship, worship, and global mission. Healing comes from interaction with Jesus and with His people. The answer is local outreach. But how do you go on mission in a country where a majority of the people do not believe help is needed let alone a Savior?  We must go to them because they’ve stopped coming to us, and we must be very intentional about interacting. Early Christians were known as The Way because they were loving toward others and truly wanted the best for those who were against them. Their way was different. That best for them was Jesus! The best for us is Jesus! Interacting with a culture that is moving away from Christ and the church means creating a new vehicle and a new attitude toward reach.

What if there was a way to reach people for Jesus in the U.S. through a mission focused on engaging those who have left the church or those would never go to church to begin with?

The Ruach.Live Solution

Ruach.Live is an online 24/7 stream station. A stream station is modeled after broadcast radio stations in sound, feel, and approach minus the radio tower. The mission is to engage the community through media-inspired, created and/or partnered, events to spread the Gospel to the 70% of the population who will not hear about Jesus from a church.

How does Ruach.Live get invited to their events? Ruach.Live creates non-affiliated, community-focused media channels that serve geographically specific needs by lifting up and engaging the community.

In the proto type described here, Ruach.Live, targets a combination of cities in Southern California that, when put together, deliver a population total of 1.2 million people. A large enough population to make a difference and a small enough population to make an impact.

Through created media like Ruach.Live and events like food distribution or worship concerts we:

  • Activate Committed Christians
  • Graduate Compromised Christian
  • Congratulate Non-Believers who are born again

How it works

The 24/7 stream of music, sermonettes, and community engagement attracts Committed Christians who activate Media Inspired events which, in turn, attract Compromised Christians. The Committed Christians minister to the Compromised Christians through the events and help them to graduate to Committed Christians. These newly Committed Christians are more likely to associate with non-believers and recruit them through media inspired events and soon we’re congratulating those non-believers and welcoming them to the Jesus family. Born again believers join the cycle of helping create media. This cycle is repeated 500x per year (see appendix for Aug. 2021 calendar).

What are media-inspired events? Because a stream station is considered media in our culture they will be welcomed at all kinds of events because the culture is hungry for free exposure to a developed and cultivated audience.

The Opportunity

Ruach.Live is developing a unique response to this need – which translates into a “divine opportunity”. In our first months of effort, we have made nearly 30,000 connections, prayed individually for nearly 900 people, and published nearly 80 public events. 218 commitments to Jesus are recorded and more than 40 have gone deeper in their walk. Our volunteer staff (Committed Christians) has grown from 1 to 30. We are discovering that committed Christians are much more comfortable evangelizing inside the safety of a media-inspired event than personal and social interactive scenarios.

The opportunity is two-fold. First, support for the just-launched prototype of Ruach.Live will prove the concept and allow it to grow into everything the Lord has for the project. Through that development, lessons learned are documented to bring about a planting mechanism based on a franchise model of local operators with national oversight. By seeding Ruach.Live we have an opportunity to replicate the project in other tight geographic areas.

THIS IS A REPLICABLE opportunity, in cities across America! Each project is possible to launch quickly because the foundation is built to accommodate centralized technical support. That means much of the nuts and bolts of each individual operation are already created and ready for launch. Ultimately this means a lower barrier for entry with each instance. Local operators will be taught how to make success in their local market and supported all the way through the process. Each local entity will be fostered for a period of one-year with financial sharing coming back to the National support after the fostering period.

The Plan

We are focused on continuing to develop the flagship project – Ruach.Live – which is just beginning the 2nd quarter of on-air operations. The project is not yet fully staffed or funded. Nevertheless, nearly 30,000 have been touched and both large-scale and small-scale events. Whole families have given their lives to Jesus. Other miraculous transformations have been reported because of the prayer offered and given in places where those people didn’t expect.

NOTE that our operation needs an adequate space in which to function, including a small office space and a built-out recording studio. Our next technical improvement is to create our own server farm. The server farm will allow our operation to scale quickly. As soon as we acquire a secure place on the Internet backbone, the sooner we will be able to control our own outcome (no one can cancel us or shut us off)!!

From these modest beginnings, staff expansion is next. Key staff are needed to drive the ministry and facilitate our growth. Finally, the launch into a national footprint with multiple stamping all over the United States. How many more small population bases can we target and go on missions for in the Nation? Bonus: These online products are made for radio. Should we have the opportunity to pick up radio signals along the way then we would simply be feeding the program feed to both online and on air.

How Can You Participate?

  1. PRAY for us faithfully (you select one day in the week – each week!!)
  2. VOLUNTEER with us at one of our events (keep in contact & will give you details)
  3. SUPPORT US financially (details below)
  4. INVITE OTHERS to be part of the Ruach.Live team.

Hey! My name is Brittny and I have the joy and privilege of hosting Ruach.Live and Breakthrough. I am a wife and mom to three amazing kids. I have had such a passion for reading the Word of God out loud so that it can go from hearing, to experiencing, and straight to the heart. I grew up in Temecula, lived in several other areas and made my way back to the Swiet Spot to raise my children near family. I am so excited to be working alongside Doc and Beth on this adventure! I am passionate about Jesus and breakthrough in the hearts and lives of people!
